Paintings by Christina Simpson

This artist has been interested in art since she was a tiny child. She started painting flowers, and then branched out to historical buildings.

To find potential subjects to paint, Chris goes out weekly to photograph older local buildings. She researches the history with the Nevada County and the Yuba County historical societies.

Chris moved to Lake Wildwood from Napa four years ago. As a member of the Art Club board, she provides "Sunshine" to club members who may need our support and encouragement.

While in Napa Chris studied Fine Art at Napa College, and her artwork received numerous ribbons at the Napa County Fair. She was a member of the Napa Valley Art Club and the Wine Country Art Club, and worked at the Yountville Art Museum as events coordinator and dosant. Her paintings have been on display at some of the galleries and wineries in the Napa area.

The Art Club has given Chris so much inspiration and friendship that she recommends anyone who is interested--whether they paint or not--to visit with us at club meetings.
