Artist Profile

Ed Ritcher has been interested in painting throughout his adult life and since his retirement has been able to devote more
time to his watercolors. He gets his inspiration from the wilderness, especially the Mt. Shasta area with its majestic mountains.
He has benefitted most from critiques by local artists including Loanna Beeson, Pauline Aldridge, Tasia, and Jerianne Van
Dijk.
Ed is from Redding and knows the backroads of Northern California very well after traveling for years in his career as
a pharmaceutical Rep.
Ed's other passion is painting seascapes and he admits that water can be a real challenge. Ed was a camera "bug"
for many years and paints from his slides. He paints semi-realistic pictures and especially likes overcoming the difficulties
of painting buildings in perspective.
Ed's paintings have won numerous awards and are in many private collections nationwide.
