Artist Profile

tonystudabakerport.jpeg

Tony Studabaker's interests have always centered around art and decorating. She was an art consultant for commercial and residential decorating in the Bay Area after raising 7 children. The very first thing Tony did after she and her husband moved to Lake Wildwood, was join our Art Club.

Tony experimented with a number of different art forms before working with clay sculpture. She finds inspiration for her art in many different places and keeps coming back to the human form as it continues to fascinate and challenge her. Tony says that art reminds us of the soul and gives artists a wonderful feeling of creating. Her art often germinates from a spontaneous thought that comes into her head. Tony loves doing torsos and the human form continues to fascinate and challenge her.

Tony has taken a number of community college classes in sculpture. She says the classes she has taken at Sierra College have greatly improved her technique.
