Yvonne Roberson Paintings

Yvonne Roberson is originally from India and settled in the United States in 1968. She has traveled extensively around the world and has lived in several countries. Yvonne received her first watercolor set when she was 12 years old and by age 18, she was selling her original note-cards to big department stores. After leaving school, she traveled extensively throughout the world where she was inspired by the work of famous artists in places like Paris, Vienna and Italy.

Yvonne paints in all mediums, but oil is her favorite. She often paints with a palette knife for texture and easy cleanup. When traveling, she prefers pen and ink and watercolor washes for convenience. Yvonne finds inspiration in bright, vibrant colors and seeing light and shadow on a subject. Yvonne enjoys painting landscapes, birds, fish, and experimenting in abstracts.
